New Navy
- Uluwatu EP
Uluwatu opens with the cheerful whistling of Zimbabwe, it's catchy chorus lines of "we need a holiday" and it's crazy tropical percussion breakdown, it quickly blends into the summer grooves of Tapioca with a driving guitar intro and the opening lines of "I'll throw you into the water", enter What Was Golden and it's clever and creative dynamics and then finish with the dramatic crescendos 'Oceans'.
The band have received impressive early support from radio nationally and media with glowing comparisons to Foals, The Whitest Boy Alive and Cold War Kids when talking about this promising young 4 piece.

Scenic
- Another Sky
Scenic are a four piece from Perth, Australia - home of Tame Impala, Canyons and a wealth of young musical talent.
Scenic create enchanting indie dance rooted in pop. Their sound is an abstract journey of drifting, floating, dreaming and falling in love.
They were quickly spotted by "The Godfather of French Electro" Joakim who released their first single This Can't Be on his Tigersushi label out of Paris.
Scenic's first EP for Future Classic features two blissed out songs 'Another Sky' and 'Endless Days' and a floor-friendly remix by The Magician, who's remix for Lykke Li and Peter and The Magician EP with Yuksek made us smile (and dance).

Flight Facilities
- Foreign Language
Flight Facilities very first solo track "Crave You" featuring Giselle took everyone by surprise; 2 Sydney DJ / producers that cut their teeth with cult party remixes for legendary local imprint Bang Gang 12 inches, created what became arguably the best pop track of 2010.
So finally, a new Flight Facilities song. One in the form of a single, featuring the beautiful vocals of a local talent named Jess. Titled "Foreign Language".
A tune that looks back on the last year of adventures and experiences, swoons us with smooth walking bass lines, classic house strings, loads of guitar noodling, and anthemic vocals. All the perfect ingredients for a timeless summer anthem.

Flume
- Sleepless EP
Flume is a local Sydney beat maker who's only 19 (!) years of age.
Flume got his first taste for producing at age 13 (!!) from the most unlikely of places - a music production program he found in a cereal box.
It began Flume's obsession with all things synthetic, and started his addiction for plug-ins, sample packs & vintage analogue hardware.
Sleepless is Flume's debut EP and has enough lush pads, chopped and chipmunked vocals, saw synths and awesome percussion to impress any fan of Hudson Mohawke, Flying Lotus, Seekae or Space Dimension Controller.

Luke Million
Luke Million is a fellow out of Adelaide, Australia and is the hectic keys player and synth wizard from The Swiss. He often starts his morning by bench pressing his Yamaha CP-70 and drinking 3 or 4 shakes of reel to reel tape.
This limited edition 7" picture disc celebrates the Arnold we used to know...
On the first side is the stella italo jam "Arnold". On the flip side is "Sun Splash" - a smoking new tropical jam that should please fans of our Poolside 12" and early Metro Area workouts.
Check out the "Arnold" video clip at futureclassic.com.au and suss out Luke's earlier EP Italo Journey / Octobussy featuring tastey remixes from Mighty Mouse and Brennan Green.
And remember...
DON'T GET BIG, GET MASSIVE.

Jeremy Glenn
- New Life EP
Debut EP coming soon from Jeremy Glenn!
Already he has shared the decks with James Murphy, Tensnake and Andy Butler as well as performing live alongside Dam-Funk, Aeroplane, and Alexander Robotnick.
The "New Life" EP is filled will sun-drenched euphoria (and a super tasty remix from Alex Barck of Jazzanova) and the video on the left is full of 80's boobs, 90's muscle and tiger fades. We recommend you check out both.
No doubt more collaborations and mutations are to come.
Video crafted by DaKOTA.
Digital release June 20, available earlier on 12" vinyl.

Mario & Vidis
- Changed EP
Mario and Vidis are two gentlemen from Lithuania. Mario and Vidis' first tune was a remix for Atjazz and Robert Owens that was played and loved by Gilles Peterson, Pete Tong and Laurent Garnier, their first track with vocals 'I'll Be Gone' didn't leave the MTV Baltic Top 20 for half a year! Since then they've worked with Jazzu, Kathy Diamond and released their debut album on their own label Silence Music. (Lithuania geographically parties next to Latvia, Belarus, Poland and the Baltic Sea.)
'Changed' is etherial - the whispy voice of Ernesto and cute skipping drums just make us happy. The video clip kind of wigs us out a little bit too (double meaning).

Mitzi Remixes
Australian disco troupe Mitzi are back, this time with remixes from home and away including Cassian, Softwar, Joakim and LTJ among others.
The 4 piece disco troupe caused a stir with their debut All I Heard EP, the 50th title for Australian label Future Classic. While they were being added to Triple J and hyped as a 'Buzz Artist' by NME the boys jumped in their van and toured Australia's East Coast and supported the likes of Bag Raiders, Tensnake, Foster The People and Metronomy.
The remixes are being released as a three part series, reflecting the fact each song off the EP was, in our eyes, a single in its own right.
Here's a free download to give you a taste.Poolside
- Do You Believe?
The next Future Classic release is the debut from LA production duo Poolside with their tune "Do You Believe?".
Big piano keys, whispered vocals, a light drizzling of 303 acid served at 105 bpm over a thick summer disco groove, with remixes by Jacques Renault feat. Tiffany Roth from Midnight Magic, James Curd and Cosmic Kids.
There's buzz on this tune! It was debuted by Aeroplane in their January 2011 mix for BBC Radio 1 and amassed over 10,000 YouTube plays for the video clip in just a week!
An end of summer hit for the Southern Hemisphere, while a welcome sign of Spring for the Northern Hemisphere.

Moon Holiday
- Moon Holiday EP
Moon Holiday is Sydneysider Alex Ward. Her self titled debut EP is a collection of childhood memories and nostalgia from living in China, sounds of the Moon Festival, lantern parades, dragon dances, neon lights and the oily harbour, while the lyrics are all about here, now, Sydney and the way fear and perfectionism gets in the way of everyone's plans.
Her lo-fi, atmospheric productions and vocals remind us of Washed Out and Toro Y Moi but her lyrics take us somewhere a little deeper.

It's mixed by Jono Ma (Lost Valentino's, Tracy Thorn, Teenagers in Tokyo) at Ewan Pearson's (The Rapture, M83, Delphic, Junior Boys) studio in Berlin and fuses the sounds of garage disco, NYC indie and the light heartedness of Australian pop into one killer record.

John Talabot
John Talabot's original works have appeared on cult labels such as Young Turks, Permanent Vacation and Hivern Discs (even that Australian label Future Classic). His melodic sound has evolved to a collage of disco breaks, tough drum machines, Rhodes riffs, silvery guitars and African chants and with an album coming soon on Permanent Vacation we can't wait to see what we works into an intimate DJ set.

Tiger & Woods
Tiger & Woods are Larry Tiger and David Woods, two European producers shrouded in mystery and responsible for some very special tuned, remixed, over-dubbed, sliced and diced extended disco edits.
One day in a fairly dusty basement (digging for records of course), these two fine gentlemen nearly got into a fight over a nameless boogie record which is so rare (super rare!) that even the usual disco detectives hadn’t discovered it yet.

Just after The Loft opened at King Street Wharf we began our ‘Freeform’ Sunday sessions running from late afternoon into the evening and going strong for 2 years.
Freeform played host to an eclectic mix of international guests from the Unabombers to A Guy Called Gerald and several local musicians, the event also incorporated our satellite events such as Freeform Cinema, an offshoot arthouse short film series.
Apres
For 4 years Future Classic hosted Apres, a laidback weekly Sunday afternoon event at the Tilbury Hotel in Woolloomooloo.
A BBQ, friendly bar staff and turntables on the balcony in the sunshine set the scene for these under-the-radar sessions that gave our local and international guests (often performing under alias) the chance to play more diverse sets than they would in the club.
The event also spawned a four part 12 inch vinyl series and compilation cd.

Consumers enter a competition to design their bar online, the winners of round one are then shortlisted to be mentored by a renowned industry personality and moving to the next round sees the finalists present their ideas to a panel of judges, with finally the winner seeing their design come to life in the form of their own bar.
This year the soundtrack is Mitzi 'All I Heard'. In 2010 we placed Dantom Eeprom's track 'Thanks for Nothing' on the Infine Label from Paris.
Pepsi Max
We did music supervision and licensing for a new series of webisodes for Pepsi Max.
The spots featured the graffiti painted Pepsi Max Crew V8 Supercar so we matched the theme with some proper instrumental hip hop by legendary beatsmith 'Maker' on Now Again label who share an office with Stones Throw in sunny LA.
Client: Pepsi Max

Le Coq Sportif
We are creating a music program for Le Coq Sportif, French pioneers of 'sport chic'.
Future Classic has designed a custom 7 inch record bag, band t-shirts and is curating a series of cover songs by Australian bands of classic French songs.
The first tune is by Perth band Scenic, covering classic French artist Air - famous for their critically acclaimed album Moon Safari, and their score for Sofia Coppola's film The Virgin Suicides.
The the flip side of the first 7 inch is a cover by Mitzi of a super rare disco classic by Zig Zag.
If you haven't already wrapped your ears around them, grab the downloads from the Le Coq Sportif facebook page.

Becks Berlin Sessions
A series of music events and content showcasing Berlin's cutting edge electronic music culture. Organised in collaboration with Thought By Them the series took place over 18 months incorporating 4 tours, 10 international artists and dozens of local support acts performing in the best clubs around Aust/NZ.

We also compiled 2 premium CDs with 30,000 copies free at bars around the country when ordering a round of Becks.
Artists included Jazzanova, Stimming, Ame, Justus Kohncke, Solomun, Marcus Worgull, Move D, Permanent Vacation, Isolee and Arto Mwambe.
Volkswagen
'Marco Polo'
We provided music strategy, supervision, licensing and marketing support for the launch of the new Volkswagen 'Marco Polo' campaign by Play Communications.
They created a facebook page for a character 'Marco Polo' who knows his music and arts and recommends gigs and other cultural happenings for people to check out. Marco recommends various gigs to his 'friends' with the first to respond 'Polo' getting picked up for in the new VW Polo and taken to the shows.
Check out the campaign here.
